On 12 September 2025, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) was appointed as Joint Administrators of Ruroc Limited, manufacturers of motorcycle and ski helmets.
The sale was shortly completed with substantially all of Ruroc's business and assets going to Tytan PG Limited, which was incorporated on 4 September 2025 and is wholly owned by the ultimate parent company company, Ruroc Global Holdings Limited.
All employees of Ruroc have transferred to Tytan PG Limited.
What does the sale of Ruroc mean for customers?
Although Ruroc did indeed enter administration, the website is still live and showing stock ready to order. Tytan PG Limited intends to operate the business as normal, and says it will "continue to trade as normal and honour all customer returns, warranties and lifetime guarantees."
What does the sale of Ruroc mean for suppliers and creditors?
Tytan PG Limited intends for the business to continue to trade as normal, so existing suppliers are instructed to speak to their usual contact at Ruroc Limited.
If Ruroc owes a company money prior to 12 September, they will be an 'unsecured creditor of the administration estate', and can submit an unsecured claim to the administration estate for the amount owed. PwC states that 'based on what we know currently we expect that there will be a distribution to unsecured creditors of the Company via the prescribed part only (an amount set aside for unsecured creditors from floating charge funds in accordance with section 176A IA86 and the Insolvency Act 1986 (Prescribed Part) Order 2003). It is too early to give an indication as to what the likely level of return for unsecured creditors will be.
Should you buy a Ruroc helmet?
The signs are that Ruroc will continue to trade as normal, so you shouldn't have any problems if you plan to buy – or are waiting for delivery of – a Ruroc helmet.
Bennetts BikeSocial has reviewed the Ruroc Atlas 4 and the Ruroc EOX, and while disappointing in some respects, the newer model was an improvement and the helmets continue to prove popular with many riders.
