Honda’s current Gold Wing was only launched a couple of years ago but the firm has decide to give the bike a minor going-over for the 2020 model year.
The latest version, unveiled today, gets upgrades aimed at improving the rideability and upgrading the equipment levels, but you’ll be hard-pushed to spot them.
All versions of the bike get tweaked fuel injection to improve low-speed manoeuvrability, and the electronics of the DCT transmission are upgraded with the same aim. DCT is also now available on the base Gold Wing model as well as the Gold Wing Tour.
The ‘Tour’ models, with the armchair-style pillion seat, get reshaped passenger grab handles for 2020 along with changed suspension settings. Tour versions are also upgraded with standard-fit foglights.
On the equipment front you now get two USB ports on all models and the sat-nav system has been improved with updated maps.
New colours for 2020 include metallic matte black with red anodised elements on the Gold Wing DCT, while the Gold Wing Tour now has an additional white option with a black frame.
